A group of six New Century College students from NCLC 320 (The Social Construction of Difference: Building Democratic Relations in a Diverse World) are proposing to your organization participation in an Awards Ceremony to bring solidarity and celebrate the rich diversity we have on George Mason University’s campus.

Commemorating GMU students who go above and beyond their expected roles to be more inclusive and sincerely open to diversity.
From about 6:00- 8:00pm
We would like to organize an awards ceremony for one or two members of your organization who you nominate for their commitment to diversity. This event will be open to the GMU community, including organization members, faculty and invited guests. This is an effort to acknowledge the benefits of being united for a common purpose and to make a conscious effort to share in one another’s cultures and ideas.From each organization:
First, we would like to find out if your organization would like to be involved in this event by April 5, 2011.
Second, the nomination of one or two members of your organization who exhibit the qualities listed above. Forms will be sent back upon the notification of your decided participation, due back by April 19, 2011.
