yay

so I finally figured out how to work this invitation thing.
Yes, I know it's suppose to be easy and I am being very stupid.
Anyways, again I'm sorry I can't make it this Sunday.
But I will definitely email/post my part of what I researched.
One question though: Are you guys going to share what we researched? Or do we have to finalize our section and give it in by Sunday?

Anyways Peace!

  1. I'm thinking we should at least just have an outline as to what we've researched and what we want to talk about in our part of the paper.

Each of us needs to write a page to a page and a half on our chosen topics.

    I. Historic agenda of bigotry (Garrett & Joshua)

    a. Bigotry groups focus around the country

    b. Bigotry groups focus targeted on college campus’

    Anti-immigrant sentiments

II. Specific “genres” of bigotry (Katherine & Arlene)

    a. D.R.E.A.M. act/ immigration issues

    b. Radical groups on both sides of the issue

    c.

    a. Bigotry groups found at GMU (Gloria & Christine)

    b. Student groups or organizations who could form a coalition

    For the action portion:

Maybe it would help to develop an objective or mission.

-talking to student groups who would be targets (anyone) and would like to be a part of an advancement

-hold events: pass out diversity jelly beans, partake in Pride Week, chalk smiley faces and joyful reminders, end of the year reception with FOOD.

Each time we meet: [for the next 3 instances]

    Someone take good notes on:

    1. Decision making process

    2. Participation, inclusion

    3. Disagreement/ Conflict

    4. Community Building
